How to Change Your Life
If you don’t like the way things are, stop believing the stories you are telling yourself about them.
We all have our “stories” about certain things.
For example:
I’m not enough. I’ll always be overweight. I’m awesome at showing up for my kids. No one likes me. I can’t do this. I’m the queen of baking. My kids are naughty. I’m such a loyal friend. My husband doesn’t love me. etc.
Some stories move us forward, but often our stories are what’s holding us back and making us feel stuck.
Our “stories” are simply a bunch of thoughts we think over and over until they become a belief.
These beliefs become our reality, how we view the world and our life.
We think they’re FACTS.
But actually, they’re not. They’re simply just thoughts.
When we think this way we are programming our minds to create and maintain this belief.
Our mind will only look for evidence to prove our beliefs true, and ignore everything else.
I have good news:
If you don’t like the story you’re living, it’s totally possible to write a new one.
HOW?
First identify the current stories you are telling yourself.
Writing them down on paper helps.
A coach, like me, is a great option too if you can’t figure them out on your own.
Then look at your stories and decide if you like them.
If you don’t, write out some new stories to replace the old ones you don’t like.
Then tell yourself the new stories over and over again.
Changing your life is as easy as changing your story.
