Sabotaging Friends
Are your Friends and Family sabotaging your weight loss efforts?
You might have family, friends, and other people who will try hard to sabotage your diet.
They will tell you that what you’re doing is crazy or too hard or stupid.
They will tell you that you’re missing out on all the fun.
They might try to convince you to eat something in order to prove to them that you love them, and they might get pouty and upset because you won’t.
They might say snarky comments to you like, “You’re looking amazing, but you know most people who lose weight always end up gaining it back.”
Or
“I’d hate to have to miss out just to look good.”
All of these comments have to do with them and not with you. They are feeling bad about their own weight or about themselves in some way.
Ignore them.
Don’t let their comments deter you. Have your own back and keep doing what you know is best for you.
Social Media
Content you see on social media may also sabotage your results. It could be a picture of something yummy that someone is eating, or it might be a post. Be careful about what you see and read, and what effect you let it have on you.
Don’t let anyone sway you into doing something other than what you’ve already committed to do.
