Powerful “I Am” Declarations for Success

Do you know there’s a difference between an Affirmation and a Declaration?

Here’s what the dictionary had to say:

Affirmation is “a positive statement asserting that a goal you wish to achieve is already happening.”

Declaration is “to state an official intention to undertake a particular course of action”

It’s the difference between wishful thinking and committed determination.

When it comes to positive declarations, if the brain doesn’t believe them at least a little bit, it will quickly dismiss the thought, and not register it at all.

In other words, it will do nothing.

You can repeat it 1000 times a day and nothing will happen because your brain doesn’t hold on to it.

With that in mind,

Here’s an exercise you can do to help you figure out your positives “I Am”’s.

Pretend you have a magical genie- like the genie in Aladdin.

He’s there to grant your wish.

He can change you into anyone and anything you want to be.

He can give you any characteristic and talent you want to have,

You just have to say the words and poof! it’s done.

What do you want?

Get out a piece of paper and write it all down.

Don’t hold any of your desires or wishes back.

Now take each one of those things that you wrote down and make them into an “I Am” Statement.

For example: Let’s say you wrote down “I want to be very confident in myself. I want to be creative and outgoing. I want to be balanced in all areas of my life. I would be healthy and at my natural weight. I want to be kind and generous. I want to have the courage to go after my goals. I want to make enough money to travel the world.”

You would take each of those phrases and make them into an “I Am” Declaration like this:

I am confident in myself.

I am creative

I am outgoing

I am balanced in all areas of my life

I am healthy

I am living at my natural weight

I am kind and so on.

Now the last thing you need to do is practice these thoughts daily.

Even multiply times a day!

Anytime you notice your negative I am’s popping up starve them and give all your energy to your list of positive I Am’s instead.
